In case you haven’t heard, there’s a new search engine on the block: Cuil (pronounced “cool”). What’s different about it? Go to their website and check them out. Of course, being brand new, it will take some time to get up to speed, but I think it has great potential. Be sure to check the tabs too: About Us, Our Philosophy, etc.
Especially apropos to this site is the Management page. You’ll notice that the two founders are both PhDs in Computer Science, but –gasp!– one of them is a woman! And –double gasp!– she was the technical lead of one of the two Web ranking groups at Google. Who says women don’t make good engineers, scientists, innovators, or leaders? U go girl!
