When You See All These Things

2008-02-26

From today’s news (Source):

LONGYEARBYEN, Norway A “doomsday” seed vault built to protect millions of food crops from climate change, wars and natural disasters opened Tuesday deep within an Arctic mountain in the remote Norwegian archipelago of Svalbard.

“The Svalbard Global Seed Vault is our insurance policy,” Norway’s Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg told delegates at the opening ceremony. “It is the Noah’s Ark for securing biological diversity for future generations.”

... “This is a frozen Garden of Eden,” Barroso said.

... The operation is funded by the Global Crop Diversity Trust, which was founded by the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization and Biodiversity International, a Rome-based research group.

Speaking of seeds, disasters, Rome, the Ark, and Eden:

Revelation 6:5-6

When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “Two pounds of wheat for a day’s wages, and six pounds of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!”

When the disciples asked Jesus about the end times, he said, “When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” (Luke 21:28) People are unwittingly preparing for the time when food will be scarce worldwide. Just as in ancient Egypt when Joseph was in charge of the grain storage in anticipation of a famine (Gen. 41:56), they will distribute these stored seeds, but at enormous cost. And this is only the beginning of the final judgments!

“As in the days of Noah” indeed!

God’s impending judgment and wrap-up of human history? Mayhap, I will not deny the possibility. Or it could just as well be another cyclic event in human history, much like the cold snap and world wide rat-borne plague of the 1300’s.

Fortunately, we’re not burning women herbalists (witches) and their cats as the cause of divine retribution this time around.

If their is a looming agricultural crisis, its roots and causes can be traced to the greed and avarice of big agri-business and their allies in Congress (farm subsidies).

If God decides to close up shop tomorrow, or if he tarries and I am gathered to my fathers; I know that in my flesh, I will see him.

Hi Greg,

True that they’re not literally burning witches now, but I see the figurative equivalent in the current male-rule mania being fostered in Christendumb. Bibles are being burnt as well in various ways.

Also agree about the agri-vation of food shortage. I think the significant thing about this particular article is their use of Biblical terminology. Knowing also the widespread use of GM foods, chemtrail spraying, and various other Big Brother activities, we can see that “all these things” are coming together.

Yes, the bottom line is faith in the risen Jesus. These signs are further proof of his divinity.
